Thank you so much for donating to the Billy Cohen Scholarship Fund. This fund was established upon Billy’s untimely death in 2010. The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student with childhood cancer. The check that the student receives will be made out to them so that the scholarship recipient can use the money directly to improve the quality of his or her life. Any money that you donate goes directly to the student dollar for dollar. There are absolutely no management fees attached to this fund. You can be satisfied that you are directly helping an excellent student who has been diagnosed with cancer,  and not supporting the administration of an organization or charity. In other words your donation goes to where it counts!

Last years winner was a student at Edward R. Murrow High School who has lived with cancer for many years. She is a remarkable young lady who is so full of hope. The tears of joy that she shed when the scholarship was announced and given to her, along with a special certificate, brought tears to our eyes as well. This is the best way in which we can honor our son, brother and friend William Ian Cohen. May his spirit light up others’ lives for eternity.
